Our hotel is situated in a stunning location by the Inverness River, close to the city, with a car park but unfortunately with no view as the room overlooked a yard. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was decent but room for improvement in terms of the service experienced.

Rooms
7.0
The room overlooked a yard and was not double-booked at the breakfast table. The bed was decent-sized and comfortable.
Service
6.0
The young man at the front desk was very helpful, but the service lacked politeness. Unfortunately, no replacement was offered when a meal was going to be charged at check-out unexpectedly.
Location
8.0
The location is more than perfect, by the Inverness River and close to the city. However, the proximity to a pedestrian passageway limited the view from the room.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast had a massive choice but could have been warmer. Chaotic during busy times with tour groups in the dining room.
Facilities
6.0
The swimming pool, though lovely, was closed during my visit. However, the hotel was happy to assist with excursion options and bus timetables.

The hotel has a great location practically on top of the river Ness, with beautiful views of the castle. The rooms were located in a separate block building across the street, which was part of the main hotel but not attached, lacking facilities and having some drawbacks like being hot and stuffy and overlooking a massive yard.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were located in a separate block building across the street from the main hotel, lacking facilities and a great view as they overlooked a massive yard. They were extremely hot and stuffy, being situated above the kitchen and swimming pool's ventilation fan.
Service
9.0
The staff were delightful and super friendly, although had to park on the street despite staying for the parking option. They were helpful and efficient in providing services like room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and a welcome drink.
Location
8.0
The hotel is modern and cozy, with an excellent view of the river and the castle, and is beautifully located beside the river with lovely views of the castle. It is full of history and charm, just opposite the town center and close to the city center.
Dining

The hotel offers a spacious room with an amazing view over the river and across to the castle. It feels more like an old-style guest house catering mainly to tour groups, which may not suit all travelers. The room was rather warm, especially at night.

7.8/10

The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, which made it a bit noisy, but the room, although lacking a view, was comfortable with a good bed. The staff, especially a Spanish girl at the reception, were helpful in addressing any shortcomings. The location was convenient for exploring the city, although my room faced a noisy restaurant kitchen. The dining experience, although delicious, was not the best value for money. The facilities were undergoing some changes but were satisfactory overall.

Rooms

The room was comfortable despite the ongoing renovations. It lacked a view but had a good bed.

7.0/10

The hotel had beautiful views of the river but the rooms felt stuffy, especially after showers. Being on the ground floor made it a bit too exposed to passersby, and the noise from the bin men was bothersome. The location was fantastic, right by the river and within walking distance to the town center, offering an awesome view of Inverness Castle. However, the dining experience was not worth the money, with questionable cleanliness in the glassware.

The dining experience was enjoyable until we found what seemed to be black mold in one of the glasses. The quality did not match the hotel's standard.

The hotel offered a mixed experience with a stunning view of Inverness Castle from some rooms but lacking in other areas. The service was friendly yet not fully accommodating. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.

My stay was overall pleasant. The room was nice and comfy with a lovely bay window and a view of the river, but being on the ground floor made it feel less private. The hotel offers just what is needed to make the most of a short stay in Inverness, with a view and fasciitis at your doorstep. However, it can be a bit costly compared to nearby options.
